Faires is now a songwriter, storyteller,  working musician, silver and goldsmith, lapidarist, woodworker, concert presenter...and "trying to grow a little each day. Living in Santa Fe has allowed me to meet and know and play music with many of my heros, and, to have a rich pool of musicians living here to create, work, and record with. I have been very lucky and grateful to know these amazing players."

Peter Rowan and Tony Rice's 2004 Rounder Records release "You Were There For Me" features Jerry Faires and Peter Rowan's song "Come Back to Old Santa Fe".  Acoustic Guitar magazine printed "Come Back to Old Santa Fe" with tabs and music as part of a featured article on Peter and Tony in March 2005.
